The phrase Live with Purpose means many things to me, personally, professionally and spiritually. I believe every action in my daily life must have a purpose; my job is making sure the purpose is the one I intended. My role at work requires me to work with many departments, managers and customers so I am constantly cultivating acquaintance with many whom I meet. And by creating those connections I remember that sincerity is essential and kindness is invaluable. An early morning workout session, definitely helps me develop and prize health and vigor of body.
Currently, I serve as the Chapter Advisor to 90+ young women and inspire them to use our Purpose on their journey in college. My hope is to serve as a positive role model and provide them an example of the Purpose in action. I hope to make a lasting impact on each member's life now and later in life. And what's neat about the Purpose is it changes after graduation. Yes, the words are the same, but the meanings become more relevant.
Alpha Gamma Delta has played such an important role in my life. My father passed away of lung cancer in 2001 and without Alpha Gamma Delta, I know my life would be different today. The connections, education and sisterhood I gained provided me with a solid base. Today, I am thankful for my opportunities in life, many because of my membership in Alpha Gamma Delta and by living with Purpose."
