Alpha Gamma Delta thrives today because sisters like you have recognized the continued importance of strengthening our bonds, creating new opportunities for sisters worldwide and providing enriching experiences on all our campuses. By paying your annual Alumnae Dues, you play an important role in helping us secure an even brighter future for Alpha Gamma Delta.
Your $40 contribution is a very important source of funding for the Fraternity. Programs and resources supported by Alumnae Dues include:
- Continued free subscriptions to the Quarterly, our award-winning magazine
- Maintenance and further development of the
- Funding for exciting events, like International
Convention and leadership conferences for collegians and alumnae
- Support for collegiate recruitment and
extension, like our three most recent recolonizations at Delta Alpha-University
of Southern California, Delta Eta-San Diego State University, Delta
Epsilon-University of California, Los Angeles.
- Development of alumnae programs
If you were initiated before 2000, you are probably thinking, "How is this different from the Lifetime Membership Alumnae Dues I already paid?" That money was actually given to your chapter's associated alumnae group for publication of the chapter newsletter, alumnae development, advisor recruitment and funding an Alumnae President OR Chapter Advisor's expenses to Convention, if needed. If you didn't have an active alumnae chapter, those funds were held in reserve at International Headquarters and used for the same purpose.
To avoid confusion over LMAD and Alumnae Dues, International Council voted in 2000 to change the name of LMAD to Alumnae Chapter Fee (ACF) to more aptly reflect its use. Collegiate members still pay this fee today.
