Collegiate chapters fall under the IRS tax umbrella of the ΑΓΔ Fraternity, a 501(c) 7. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, on the other hand is a 501(c) 3, public charity. Only donations made directly to the Foundation are tax-deductible in the United States. Donations made to chapter fundraising events are not (tax-deductible). All proceeds from chapter fundraisers are to be sent in one check to the Foundation after expenses have been deducted.
