(INDIANAPOLIS) International Council is saddened to announce that Marie Locker Hill-Chapiesky, Gamma Beta-Florida State University, entered Chapter Grand on December 25, 2014, at the age of 79. Marie served as the Grand Secretary-Treasurer (a former office) on International Council from 1979-1987 and as Treasurer of the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation from 1990-1996. She wore the Circle of Epsilon Pi.

During Marie's service on International Council, she helped Alpha Gamma Delta continue to grow and thrive. She was diligent in presenting several Constitutional resolutions to maintain the financial health of chapters, alumnae groups and the Fraternity as a whole and helped encourage additional fundraising to support new research and fellowship grants for diabetes-related causes. Later, Marie served on the Capital Campaign Steering Committee, which raised more than $5 million for the Foundation's educational, leadership and philanthropic mission.

Outside of her work for Alpha Gamma Delta, Marie was a tireless volunteer and advocate for Columbia College, of which she was an honorary alumna.

Sympathy cards may be mailed to Alpha Gamma Delta International Headquarters at 8710 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46260 to be collected and forwarded to the family.

Alpha Gamma Delta will deeply miss and always appreciate Marie for her dedicated service to the Fraternity and the Foundation. We will keep her family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
