Question: What do you hope to accomplish as a Leadership Consultant?
Melissa's Answer: I would hope to inspire each chapter to want to strive, showcase and reach their full potential in the Greek
community and on their college campus. In saying that, I want to serve as a resourceful sister that can provide advice in different areas of each chapter. I also hope to bring out creative sides in sisters for recruitment, events, officer positions, etc.
Question: What would you like the chapters you are visiting to know about you?
Melissa's Answer: I am an easy-going individual that treasures simple joys that brighten life⦠a meaningful conversation,
kayaking on the river, reading a novel, sipping iced vanilla lattes, etc. I love being social as much as having time to myself. I have a need for creativity and change. By majoring in interior design I have developed a greater appreciation for "green" design, otherwise known as environmentally-friendly, sustainable design. Some would say I am a bit obsessed with the TV show, The Office, but the dry humor is hilarious and relatable. I appreciate a good sense of humor, open-mindedness and the ability to compromise. I definitely want chapters to know I will be there to enhance, educate and hopefully empower their chapter. I also hope that they will take advantage of my resourcefulness.
Question: What is your biggest accomplishment thus far?
Melissa's Answer: My college graduation was truly a momentous event for me and my family. My mother was the only other
college graduate in my family. During her college years she balanced being a wife, mother and student all while trying to earn an education at the young age of 22. She was always my inspiration and motivation throughout my college career. Having her attend my graduation and watch me walk across the stage to receive my diploma only made the moment that much more special.
